7 Day North Coast

Day 1

  • “Get to Know Your Steed” Day. Get comfortable on your V-Strom 650 and ride through the tropical Dominican Alps, blasting around Jarabacoa and its breathtaking vistas, mountain roads and Jurassic Park-like waterfalls. Along the way, you tour an organic coffee processor, lunch in a quaint mountainside resort and enjoy multiple photo-ops to share with the folks back home.

Day 2

  • “Samana, Here We Come” Day. “Epic” is the only way to describe today’s journey to the idyllic Samana peninsula. Put a large memory chip in your camcorder, because your friends back home won’t believe your tale.
  • The thrill of blasting the epic “Tail of the Iguana” mountain road will be a Memory of the Ages!  272 twists, turns and switchbacks in 21 miles with an amazing vista stop overlooking the Cibao Valley; you’ll ascend and descend 3300 ft.
  • You’ll ride along the blue Atlantic Ocean, and lunch and swim on a virtually deserted white-sand beach on the crystal-clear ocean. Your journey through Paradise resumes and your day ends with great camaraderie over cold drinks and a remarkable dinner buffet in your tropical beach-front boutique resort in Samana.

Day 3

  • “Ooh and Aah” Day. An End-of-the-Road-in-Paradise seaside village beckons followed by amazing back roads leading to fascinating ocean-front geological formations of Indiana Jones-style caves, mind-blowing scenic vistas and “hold-onto-your-hat” blow-holes.
  • The day is still young. You make a spirited mountain run through sweeping curves toward a magical deep-jungle waterfall where you trade your V-Strom for a horse for the last stretch. Following lunch in an authentic Dominican “parador,” you’ll ride through the beach town of Las Terrenas and challenge another twisty high-mountain road, returning to your resort for another great dinner buffet.

Day 4

  • “I Came, I Saw, I Beached It” Day. Early Birds may opt for the 6 a.m. “Rise and Shine with Ed Ride” with breakfast on the road. You’ll return in time to load up your swimsuit, sunscreen and camera for a van excursion to one of the most idyllic beaches on the planet, hidden by thousands of coconut palms. The MC crew sets up Camp Moto Beach, with shade tents, chairs, coolers full of your favorite beverages, snacks, beach toys and snorkel gear. Today’s goal: pure relaxation, Caribbean Style. Lunch will be freshly grilled seafood with all the trimmings, prepared beachside. You’ll take a quick cleansing dip in the cool, clear water of a nearby freshwater mountain stream flowing into the ocean, and van back to the resort. Your last evening in Samana finishes with an after-dinner beach bonfire -(seasonal).

Day 5

  • “Can’t Get Enough Tail” Day!  The expedition continues as you head back to Jarabacoa via the ocean-hugging highway and epic “Tail of the Iguana”. The adventure stops at a primordial crystal clear cave spring for a swim break and lunch at a local Dominican/French gourmet restaurant next to famous Laguna GriGri. You’ll settle back into your hotel in Jarabacoa with a marvelous Dominican meal.

Day 6

  • Just when you think your adventure can’t get any better, you have to make a choice:
  • “Best Ride Yet.” Many of our guests consider this the best riding day of the entire trip. You blast down the “autopista” and dizzying mountain road to the high-valley town of Constanza, the breadbasket of the Dominican Republic. Rallying to altitudes as high as 5000 ft., the road is spectacular, the scenery unparalleled and there will be multiple stops along the way for your photo album. Lunch will be served in a resort restaurant overlooking town.
  • ~Or~
  • “Day in Santiago, La Ciudad Corazon.” Take the van to Santiago, a city of over one million and considered the “Heart of the Country”, where you will visit the Centro Leon Cultural Museum, the La Aurora Cigar factory, and lunch either overlooking the city high in the hills or by the Monument to the Heroes of the Restoration downtown. We stop by a unique gift stop on the trip back to the resort.
  • Whichever you choose, you’ll be back in time for the special Farewell Dinner together in Jarabacoa in a restaurant high above the city! What a way to end a week in the Dominican Republic!

Day 7

  • We say our “hasta luego” and “buena vieja” as our crew takes you to Santiago International Airport for your departing flights, knowing great new friends will always be back!
