“MotoCaribe was founded in 2007 on a simple premise that guides all we do today: to offer all riders worldwide the greatest value on the planet in supported, exotic motorcycle tours, period.
We do much more than ride. We adventure.”
-Robert Cooper, Founder
In 10 years MotoCaribe has earned a world-wide reputation for high-value all-inclusive supported motorcycle tours. We are proud that a high percentage of our guests from all over the world have returned for multiple tours, returning more as friends than customers.
Over the years we have made ongoing improvements to all aspects of our tours: new tours, routes, roads, accommodations, venues, excursions, locations and anything & everything that adds even more to the MotoCaribe experience. Our goal: to provide the best value and experience of any supported motorcycle tour on the planet.
We love to ride and it shows!
Robert Cooper, a former pro athlete, life-long entrepreneur, motorcycle rider and collector, is native of Atlanta GA, and has called the Tampa Bay FL area home since the early 70’s.
Infected with the dreaded BBS (British Bike Syndrome), he could often be seen along Florida roads pushing home one of his classic bikes, post-failure of the Lucas sort. His bike collection over the years included classic BSA’s, Triumph’s, Norton’s, Royal Enfield’s and Villiers, as well as more modern Kawasaki’s, Honda’s and Suzuki’s.
Robert traveled to the Dominican Republic repeatedly since the mid-80’s, and turned his passion for motorcycles into a dream venture when he moved to the Dominican Republic in 2007 to start MotoCaribe Motorcycle Tours.
Upon university graduation with a degree in travel, Alida worked in administration in the resort and communications industries. Alida has held executive positions in prominent Dominican environmental advocacy organizations and has been key to finding the incredible rarely-experienced-by-tourists adventures for which MotoCaribe has become known.
Together, Alida and Robert created MotoCaribe. She is responsible for all off-motorcycle aspects of MotoCaribe while on tour, a job she does with such ease and effectiveness we affectionately call her “The Boss.”
Alida is fluent in English and Spanish.
Junior speaks both English and Spanish.
- Lunch Stop Adventure at Los GringosLos Gringos Restaurant at Playa Magante is a favorite lunch stop on all MotoCaribe North Coast and Combination Tours. Belgian proprietor Patrick and his staff serve up fantastic food in an incredible beachfront location.
Dave Z.All in all, this was a wonderful holiday made even better by the company! The first time Kris and I did this trip, there was a lot lost to getting to know and learning how to ride with people we’d never met before. Brining your own group with you solves that.
Thanks Robert!
